PIA flight lands on wrong runway in thick fog

LAHORE:

A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight narrowly avoided disaster when the pilot reportedly landed on the wrong runway at the Lahore airport amid adverse weather conditions.

Flight PK-150, originally scheduled from Dammam to Multan, was diverted to Lahore due to heavy fog and poor visibility in Multan.

Upon arrival in Lahore, the plane reportedly landed on runway 36L instead of the designated main runway.

According to sources, the runway lights were out at the time of landing, which exacerbated the potential risk.

The PIA administration took swift action, immobilizing both the captain and the co-pilot.
