PIA suspends thefts to four Gulf countries in the middle of the regional upward conflicts

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) suspended its flight operations to Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Dubai due to the escalation of security problems in the Gulf region.

The development comes after Iran has carried out a “devastating and powerful” missile attack against the American air bases in Qatar and Iraq in retaliation for us strikes on its nuclear sites.

According to the spokesperson for the PIA, the decision was taken in the light of the “war situation” which takes place in several Gulf states. The PIA assured that the operations would resume once the conditions return to normal.

“Given the regional conflict, we canceled thefts to destinations affected for the safety of our passengers,” a spokesperson for the PIA said on Monday. “We apologize for the embarrassment caused, but the security of our passengers has priority on all other questions.”

The PIA reservations department began to adapt to passengers affected on alternative flights, said the airline. The airline has also asked all the affected travelers to stay in touch with the PIA call center for timely updates and a travel reprogramming.

Meanwhile, the Embassy of Pakistan advised citizens of water to stay in safe places and to avoid areas near military facilities.

“In the light of regional developments, Pakistani citizens are strongly invited to stay away from military zones and to seek shelter in safe areas,” said the declaration.

The Iran-Israel conflict has gone more while Tehran, in retaliation for American strikes on its nuclear installations, launched missile attacks on American bases in Qatar, Iraq and Bahrain.
