- Sony revealed the pulse speakers
- They are pc and PS5 compatible wireless desktops that come in black and white
- They also offer wireless features and can be used on the move
PlayStation has unveiled a new pair of brilliant office speakers as part of the last broadcasting state.
The speakers, called The Pulse Elevate, all the latest adding to the Sony PlayStation audio line and are its first wireless speakers. Compatible with PlayStation 5, PC and PlayStation Portal, the speakers are filled with high-end planar magnetic pilots which, according to the brand, help you “games exactly as the developers wanted”. It is the same technology that is found in the Pulse explores and Pulse Elite helmets.
They also have an integrated microphone. This can be used for vocal chat in the game and has an improved noise rejection technology in AI which should, in theory, cut all noise from your game.
In addition to the compatibility of PlayStation links, they can be used as standard Bluetooth speakers to listen to music and more.
I am a little disconcerted by the inclusion of rechargeable batteries, however. The speakers are delivered with load quays, which are probably how you are supposed to use them when you play at your office, but you can be picked up and brought with you for the game “On the Go” with the portal.
There is not yet a word about the size of these speakers, but they do not seem particularly compact in the promotional equipment that I have seen so far. Does Sony expect you to stick two of these speakers next to your bed when you snuggle up for your next PS gate session? Or maybe whip them both on the train?
It’s weird, but I’m undeniably intrigued to see how players will use this feature, if all.
The speakers will be available in 2026 and will be available in two colors: black and midnight white. Oddly, it seems that White will in a way be a limited edition with Sony declaring that it will only be available “during last supplies”.
