PM announces 100,000 free laptops for students

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Tuesday the distribution of 100,000 free laptops among talented students across the country, during an event of International Youth Day in Islamabad.

The Prime Minister said that the distribution of these laptops will be done in the four provinces, the Federal capital Islamabad, the Gilgit Baltistan and the Azad Cashmire, and will be purely in merit without any nepotism.

He said that these laptops will be separated from the portable computers’ program thanks to interest -based loans.

Referring to Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan’s victory on May 10 against a digitally large and Vaguant enemy turned on a new vigor throughout the nation.

The Prime Minister urged young people to rely on the spirit of this success and to work hard to win laurels for the country.

Earlier, addressing the ceremony, the President of the Prime Minister Rana Mashhood program said that young merit programs allowed the talented and deserving children to succeed in their lives.

He mentioned various historical projects which continue to help thousands of students to finish their studies, such as the Pakistani education program, the Danish Pakistani authority and the Prime Minister’s laptop program.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister of State for Religious Affairs and the Interfaith Harmony Kesoo Mal Khael Das said that the minority communities of Pakistan have always and will continue to play their role in the progress and development of the country.
