PM arrives in Baku for bilateral talks

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Baku on Sunday for an official two -day visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

When he arrived at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the Prime Minister was warmly received by senior Azerbaijani officials, including the first Deputy Prime Minister Yaqub Abdulla Oglu Eyyubov, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Yalchin Rafiyev, Ambassador of the Azerbaior Qasim Mohiuddin and senior dignitaries.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold high -level meetings with the president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and other senior Azerbaijani officials.

Discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral relations, expansion of trade and investment, improving cooperation in the energy sector, synergy of efforts to manage climate change, deepening of Defense collaboration and the promotion of cultural exchanges.

Several memorandums of understanding (MOUS) and agreements should be signed, further strengthening the partnership between the two countries.

As part of his commitments, the Prime Minister and Azerbaijani leaders will also contact the Pakistan-Azerbaijan business forum, scheduled for Monday. The forum will bring together business leaders from the two countries to explore the coverage and business and investment opportunities, emphasizing business collaboration (B2B).

Pakistan and Azerbaijan share a long -standing bond of fraternity, supported by shared values ​​and common aspirations. This visit underlines the commitment of the two nations to deepen their bilateral links, to improve economic cooperation and to promote regional collaboration.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level ministerial delegation, in particular the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, Minister of Investment and Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan, Minister of the Pakistani overseas and the development of Human Resources Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Minister of Information and Diffusion of Ataullah Tarar, and special assistant to Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi.

By reaching Baku, Prime Minister Shehbaz tweeted: “Landed in the beautiful city of Baku, where the past and the future converge in a dynamic embrace. The city looks even more enchanting under snow blanket!”
