On Sunday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the murder of civilians and unarmed demonstrators in Bagh Maidan, Wadi Tirah, in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, calling it an “odious act” and reaffirming the resolution of his government to eliminate terrorism.
According to the first reports, at least five people were killed and more than 17 injured in the attack. However, the KP government has not yet confirmed the figures.
Prime Minister’s office said in a statement that Prime Minister Shehbaz had ordered immediate medical aid for the injured and sentenced the dismissal by terrorists – called Khawarij – targeting peaceful citizens.
