PM is looking for a plan to stimulate Agriaire Production

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asked the competent authorities on Tuesday to present a full action plan aimed at stimulating agricultural production and introducing agricultural reforms in the country.

He chaired an examination meeting on the performance of the agricultural sector and the ongoing reforms.

“Improving agricultural productivity, the addition of value and the increase in exports of agricultural products are the main priorities of the government,” said the Prime Minister.

He ordered that a complete and long -term complete action plan was presented for modern agricultural machines, quality seeds, geographic planning of crops and the supply of easy loans to farmers.

To improve the yield of cultures by ACRE, the Prime Minister has ordered that agricultural research centers are made more effective.

He also ordered that modern research will be provided through public-private partnerships in agricultural research centers.

The Prime Minister stressed that the government should benefit from international renown experts for the effective use of artificial intelligence and modern technology in agriculture.

During the briefing, the meeting was informed of the production of large Rabi and Kharif cultures of the previous year, the challenges faced by farmers, the future proposed roadmap and improvement suggestions.

The meeting was also informed of progress in the implementation of government reforms and the impact of climate change on agriculture.

Industrialists and business leaders

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a high -level meeting on Tuesday with the main industrialists and business leaders in the key economy sectors, reaffirming his government’s commitment to economic stability, growth led by exports and the facilitation of the private sector.

During the interactive session, business leaders welcomed the Prime Minister’s management and the persistent efforts of his economic team in the stabilization of the country’s financial prospects, said a press release from the Prime Minister’s office.

They particularly congratulated the government for having succeeded in concluding a critical agreement of the IMF and in introducing a pro-business budget aimed at facilitating business.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed participants and stressed the importance of the development of collaborative policies. “The credit for economic stabilization goes to the tireless efforts of our team,” he said, adding: “Our next objective is to direct Pakistan towards sustained growth, improve exports, create jobs and attract foreign investments.”

He stressed that future development would be motivated by the mobilization of internal resources, the reduction of dependence and the economic level of Pakistan. “The business world suggestions are essential for the development of policies that serve national interest,” he noted.

The Prime Minister announced that he would hold monthly meetings with the business world to ensure regular consultation and collective property of economic reforms. “We will consult private sector experts in all areas. This long journey of progress requires mutual efforts and determination,” he said.

Industrialists have recognized the government’s budget as adapted to businesses and aligned with industry needs. They appreciated the current reforms in customs taxation and clearance systems, in particular the improvement of the digitization and transparency of FBR in the ports.

They also underlined the need for increased facilitation for exporters and investors, as well as the alignment of policies with the needs of companies and industries to stimulate foreign direct investments.
