Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the importance of creating a complete roadmap to increase bilateral trade between Pakistan and Uzbekistan to $ 2 billion, as indicated by the management of the two countries.
During a meeting with the Uzbekistan ambassador to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtaev on Thursday, the Prime Minister underlined the eagerness of Pakistan to extend cooperation with Uzbekistan in several sectors, including mines, railways, special economic zones, banks, tourism, culture and renewable energies.
The Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the warm reception he received during his recent visit to Tashkent and transmitted his greetings to the Uzbek chief.
He reiterated the success of the visit, which resulted in the training of a high -level strategic cooperation council and the signing of several agreements and prosthetic in various fields.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he had asked the relevant ministers to quickly follow the results of his discussions with Uzbeks leaders during his trip.
Ambassador Tukhtaev has sold President Mirziyoyv’s commitment to strengthen the bonds of Uzbekistan with Pakistan and announced that the president had accepted the Prime Minister’s invitation to visit Pakistan later this year, the dates that should be finalized between the two parties.
