Eid-UL-Adha is celebrated in Pakistan today with a zeal and a religious fervor to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of the prophet Ibrahim (AS) and the Prophet Ismail (AS) and calls for compassion and national unity.
On unity and sacrifice
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari and the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) and Marshal General Asim Munnir extended congratulations to the country and to the Ummah Muslim during the Aid-UL-Adha. They called for national unity, compassion and collective sacrifice to overcome the challenges in the country and abroad.
The PM Shehbaz congratulated Muslims around the world and paid tribute to the spirit of devotion and altruism demonstrated by the Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and the Prophet Ismail (AS).

“These blessed days remind us of the exemplary fidelity and sacrifice of the Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and the Prophet Ismail (AS),” he said, adding that their submission to the will of Allah had been raised to an act of worship.

The essence of Eidul Adha goes beyond the animal sacrifice, he said. “The message of Eidul Adha teaches us to sacrifice ourselves, our wishes and our interests for greater objectives.”
Shehbaz observed that the qualities of patience, courage and altruism are essential for the progress of a nation. “Today, our beloved country Pakistan is on the way to progress and at the moment, we have to kiss the spirit of solidarity and sacrifice.”
He urged the people to show unity, in the face of internal economic and social challenges, as they did when the nation was firm in the face of external threats. Referring to Pakistan’s response to a recent Indian assault, he recalled that the country had shown an unshakable resolution during the defense of its dignity and sovereign dignity.
“We must pool our resources to make our country strong, prosperous and self-sufficient,” he said. “We must prioritize the national interest in personal interest.”

Shehbaz expressed a deep concern for the suffering of the inhabitants of Jammu-et-Cachemire (Iiojk), the people of Palestine and India, and reiterated the unwavering support of Pakistan to their right to self-determination. “We will always be their voice and will support their crucial struggle.”
The Prime Minister prayed for national force, true happiness and the ability to act in accordance with the true spirit of sacrifice and altruism.
Likewise, President Zardari also extended his sincere congratulations to the nation and the Muslim community in the broad sense, calling Eidul Adha a reminder of obedience, devotion and brotherhood.
“This day revives in us the spirit of faith, sacrifice, altruism and unity. May this EID be a source of blessings, peace and prosperity for our country and the Ummah Muslim, Ameen. ”

The president underlined the sacrifices of the prophet Ibrahim (AS) and the prophet Ismail (AS) as timeless lessons of loyalty and submission to the divine will.

He stressed the importance of integrating these values into daily life. “EID calls us to make a solemn commitment to always take care of those who need it – whether poor, sick or without resources.”
Zardari urged the nation to support each other, in particular the disadvantaged, and to promote love and the brotherhood while eliminating hatred and prejudices.

“As a nation, we must share the pains of the other and work together to build a prosperous and great Pakistan. Reaffirm our commitment to national harmony and collective good,” he said, praying for unity and strength for the country and Muslims around the world.
The best brass in the army also granted Eid’s greetings to the people. According to a press release published by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the armed forces have offered prayers for peace, prosperity and national cohesion in the country.
Coas and the Marshal General Munnir, Chairman of the Committee of Joint Staff Chiefs, Chief of Staff of the Navy and Airsaff chief have all extended their fertilizations to the people.
They praised the resilience of the Pakistani people and praised the bravery of the armed forces, the police and citizens who continue to defend the security and stability of the country. Military leadership recognized Eidul Adha as a time of reflection, sacrifice and unity, and called on all Pakistanis to use this opportunity to promote harmony and strengthen the fabric of the nation.
“The Eid-UL-Azha is a sacred moment of reflection, sacrifice and unity. May this blessed opportunity promotes harmony in our society and strengthens the spirit of solidarity which links us like a compensation nation. The Pakistani armed forces remain resolved with the people, to a goal and to the farm in the country.
“On this day of reverence, we also honor the noble families of Shuhada-E-Pakistan-whose relatives have made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of peace and the nation.”
Fervor celebrations
Eidul Adha is celebrated today with a religious fervor and a reverence, while millions of Muslims come together for prayers and make sacrifices in memory of the devotion of the prophet Ibrahim (AS).

Large congregations took place for the prayers of Eid in mosques, eidgahs, imambargahs and open spaces.
In Islamabad, the faithful offered Eid prayers to the Shah Faisal mosque and other major sites, where special prayers have also been made for the armed forces, national unity and the country’s progress and prosperity.
In Lahore, the prayers of Eid were led by the president of the Council of the Raghibi Ideology Raghiba Naemimi in Darul Uloom Jamia Naemimi. A large -scale collective sacrifice was organized at the seminar, where 180 animals were sacrificed on the first day. In total, 300 sacrifices are scheduled for three days. Similar arrangements have been taken in other parts of the city.

Inspector General of Punjab police, Dr. Usman Anwar, said that special police and rapid strength teams (QRF) had been deployed throughout the province. In Hore, more than 6,000 officers were responsible for guaranteeing more than 5,000 prayer rallies.

In Rawalpindi, 604 mosques, 72 imambargates and 62 open spaces hosted Eid congregations, with 2,700 police officers ensuring security.
In Karachi, the prayers of Eid were offered in different mosques in the city. Clerks across the country have delivered sermons on the spiritual and philosophical meaning of the Prophet Ibrahim sacrifice (AS).
Special prayers have also been offered for the unity of the Ummah Muslim, national development and the well-being of Palestinians and Kashmiris.
In Hyderabad and the surrounding area, more than 1,000 young and large prayer gatherings were organized. Many residents have visited cemeteries after Eid prayers to offer Fateha to deceased beings, before starting animal sacrifices.
In Peshawar, the main congregations took place at the Central Eidgah and various districts, reflecting the same spirit of solemnity and unity.

Strict security measures were in place at the national level, with the police, the Rangers guards and other law enforcement organizations on high alert to ensure security during prayers and sacrifice activities.

Millions of citizens will continue to offer sacrifices over the next two days, filling the Sunnah of the Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and sharing meat with the disadvantaged.
The municipal authorities have deployed special teams for sanitation and the elimination of waste, working to ensure the rapid elimination of solids and solid waste to maintain cleanliness in urban and rural areas.
