Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that Pakistan was ready for significant dialogue with India on all outstanding questions.
The Prime Minister said this during his meeting with the British High Commissioner in Pakistan Jane Marriott, said PM Office Media Wing in a press release.
The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the role of the United Kingdom in the de-escalation of tensions during the establishment of Pakistan-Indies.
He welcomed the recent British government’s recent decision to resume PIA flights to and from the United Kingdom, which, according to him, would greatly help to mitigate the difficulties faced by the British Pakistan community as well as to improve the exchanges of people in the population.
He particularly appreciated the role of the High Commissioner in this regard.
The regional situation in South Asia and the Middle East was also discussed.
The British High Commissioner thanked the Prime Minister for having received him and informed her of his recent visit to London, where she had vast consultations on improving the bilateral links of Pakistan-UK.
She praised the government’s economic performance in the past year and a half, under the vision and management of the Prime Minister, which had caused a significant improvement in all key macroeconomic indicators.
She also shared with the Prime Minister, the prospect of the United Kingdom on regional developments in South Asia and the Middle East.
Privatization commission
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif ordered the authorities on Wednesday to ensure that the privatization committee would receive total autonomy in accordance with the law to eliminate administrative formalities and unnecessary elements during the process of denationalization of public enterprises (SO).
The Prime Minister chaired an examination meeting on the progress of the privatization of public enterprises here at the Prime Minister’s office, said a press release from the PM office.
