PM reminds the enemy Dwarka op

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated a resolved posture and operational dexterity from the Pakistani navy on Monday and stressed that the country’s maritime borders were entirely capable of performing high intensity operations, such as the Historical Dwarka operation.

The Prime Minister went to the shipbuilding construction site in Karachi to pay tribute to the Navy for his central role in operation Bunyanum Marsoos. He praised the exemplary professionalism of officers and sailors, preparation for combat and firm commitment to national defense.

According to a press release published by the public service public relations (ISPR), the army media wing, the Prime Minister has conveyed the country’s deep appreciation for the armed forces and reaffirmed unshakable confidence in their capacities.

The Dwarka operation was a naval operation launched by Pakistan Navy on September 7-8, during the 1965 war. The operation involved a naval bombardment of the coastal city of Dwarka, located in the Indian State of Gujarat, in order to destroy a radar station, guiding the Indian bombers.

The operation was a resounding success because the Indian radar station was damaged which hampered the operations of the Indian Air Force. The Dwarka operation has demonstrated the superb capacities of the Pakistani navy, because it achieved its objectives without suffering from losses.

Recalling the proud of the inheritance of the decisive operations of the Pakistani navy, the Prime Minister stressed that the navy remained “fully capable of performing high intensity operations similar to the historic operation Dwarka, each time and where is necessary”.

During the visit, the Prime Minister climbed aboard the type-054A class destructive, PNS Taimur, where he was informed by the Pakistan commander’s fleet on the strategic orientation of the Pakistani navy, operational commitments and remarkable contributions during the current operation.

The Prime Minister interacted with officers and sailors and praised their exemplary professionalism, their preparation for combat and his firm commitment to national defense.

He congratulated the navy for “his resolved posture, his operational dexterity and his effective deterrent response to counter opponent maritime threats”.

The Prime Minister particularly praised the critical role of the navy in the safeguarding of maritime communication lines and the guarantee of the uninterrupted flow of maritime trade, while maintaining absolute maritime sovereignty thanks to a defense of the sea in layers and assured.

Earlier, upon his arrival in the Pakistani navy shipyard, the Prime Minister was received by the naval staff chief, Admiral Naveed Ashraf. The chief of staff Syed Asim Munnir and the chief of the air staff, the chief of the air, Zaheer Ahmad Baber Sidhu, were also present.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Defense Khawaja Asif, the Minister of Planning Ahsan Iqbal, the Minister of Information Attaullah Tarar and the Minister of Education, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, said the press release from the ISPR.
