Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has trained an investigation committee for three members to investigate the land scandal of the Port Qasim (PQA) authority.

According to a notification issued by the Prime Minister’s office, the land in question has been allocated to small and medium -sized industrial parks, and the committee of three members will probe financial irregularities in its rental process.
The president of the Prime Minister’s inspection committee was appointed head of the Committee, while the director of the Intelligence Office (IB) Sirajuddin Amjad and the director of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Syed Shahid Hussain, will serve as members.
According to a notification issued by the PM office, the investigation committee will examine financial irregularities in the rental of PQA land, which has been allocated to small and medium -sized industrial parks.
In addition, he will investigate the factors examined by the Board of Directors of the PQA during the decision of an off -course regulation with the petitioner.
According to the reference mandate (twists), the Committee will examine whether the QASIM Authority (PQA) port has reassessed the value of the field before the regulation and if the current market rates have been examined in the decision -making process.
The Committee will also determine why the exterior settlement offer was not immediately withdrawn after the petitioner refused it. In addition, it will identify governance problems that have contributed to delays in the resolution process.
The committee was authorized to include additional members if necessary to help the investigation. The Ministry of Maritime Affairs will provide secretarial support. The investigation committee is required to submit its report to the Prime Minister within two weeks.
It should be noted that the land scandal of the Port Qasim authority surfaced during a meeting of the Senate Committee for Maritime Affairs, following revelations made by Senator Faisal Vawda.
