Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the central role of the Pakistani navy on Monday in the safeguarding of maritime communication lines and the guarantee of the uninterrupted flow of maritime trade during operation Bunyan-Um-Marsoos, launched against India’s uninsured aggression.

“The state of preparation of our navy was exemplary … The enemy could not bring together the courage to try an action at sea,” said the Prime Minister during the interview of the Navy officers and the staff of the Karachi Naval shipyard.

The armed forces of Pakistan launched a large-scale military reprisal action, called “Operation Bunyan-Um-Marsoos”, and targeted several Indian military targets in several regions.

The strikes, described by managers as “precise and proportionate”, were carried out in response to the continuous aggression of India through the control line (LOC) and in the territory of Pakistan, which said New Delhi was targeting the “terrorist targets”.

Pakistan has shot down six Indian fighter planes, including three gusts and dozens of drones. After at least 87 hours, the war, caused by India, ended on May 10 with a cease-fire agreement negotiated by the United States.

According to ISPR, a total of 53 people, including 13 staff of the armed forces and 40 civilians, were martyred in Indian strikes during the recent military confrontation.

The military confrontation between the two countries was launched by the attack last month in Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk), was the subject of 26 tourists, accusing Pakistan for the attack without offering.

According to a press release published by the Public Reservices Public Relations (ISPR) earlier during the day, the Prime Minister today visited the shipyard of the Pakistani navy to pay tribute to the Pakistani navy for its central role in the operation against India.

Upon his arrival, the Prime Minister was received by the Naval Friendship Chief, Admiral Naveed Ashraf. The chief of staff of the army (COAS), General Syed Asim Munnir and the Chief of the Air Staff, the Air Head, the Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Baber Sidhu, was also present.

During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz rose aboard the class 054A PNS Taimur, where he was informed by the Pakistan commander’s fleet on the strategic orientation of the Pakistani navy, operational commitments and remarkable contributions during current operations.

He interacted with officers and sailors of the Pakistani navy, welcoming their exemplary professionalism, their preparation for combat and their firm commitment to national defense. He transmitted the deep appreciation of the nation and reaffirmed unshakable confidence in the capacities of the armed forces of Pakistan.

Addressing the rally, the Prime Minister congratulated the Pakistani navy for its resolved posture, its operational dexterity and its effective response to combat opponent maritime threats.

Recalling the proud inheritance of the decisive operations of the navy, he stressed that the Pakistani navy remains fully capable of carrying out high intensity operations similar to the historic operation Dwarka, whenever necessary.

He added that the use of modern technology by the Pakistani navy had considerably increased its performance. “Even the enemy now admits that the Pakistani navy has moved the regional balance of powers at sea,” said Shehbaz.

The Prime Minister also stressed that the coordinated performance of all three -arms services – Army, Air Force and Navy – made the opponent impossible to cause real damage.

‘Trump a man of peace’

In the same speech, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed his gratitude to US President Donald Trump for negotiating a cease-fire between Pakistan and India.

“Trump is a man of peace. Trump and his team made sincere efforts to ensure peace in the region and played a vital role in the ceasefire.”

“I would like to thank President Trump from the heart of my heart and I think he played a benevolent friend’s role,” said Prime Minister Shehbaz.

He recalled that the American president also proposed to play a sincere role in resolving the cashmere dispute between Islamabad and New Delhi.
