Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Marshal Syed Asim Munir, jointly addressed a large Jirga of former tribals of the Zehri auditorium in Quetta, reaffirming the firmness of the government to eradicate terrorism and Indian counter-spaces proxy Warfare.
According to a statement published by the Prime Minister’s office, the JIRGA was summoned to strengthen engagement with tribal management and to approach the province’s evolutionary security situation. The declaration noted that the emphasis was placed on the fight against the destabilizing role of Indian attorney and the strengthening of the development efforts carried out by the State.
The PM office said that the first first Sharif stressed how terrorist groups, supported and funded by India, intensified efforts to undermine peace and stability in Balutchistan. He specifically mentioned entities such as “Fitna al-Hindustan” and warned that these groups sought to exploit the local grievances and to obtain community support, which must be firmly denied.
Citing the Prime Minister, the declaration indicates: “The enemies of peace will not find space to operate in Pakistan. Our message is clear: the government, the armed forces, the police and the administrative apparatus, with the full support of the people, will take the fight against terrorism at its logical conclusion – the deficient terrorism of the nation. “
The PM office also declared that Sharif had welcomed the constructive role of the former tribal in the preservation of national unit and underlined the need for a sustained basic commitment to ensure that terrorist groups remain isolated and not taken care of. He also pointed out that development initiatives must reach the local population to really empower Balutchistan.
The declaration cited by the Prime Minister said: “We must ensure that the delayed effects of government development packages benefit each citizen. The inhabitants of Balutchistan played a historical role in the safeguard of the integrity of Pakistan, and we count on their continuous vigilance against the subversion sustained abroad. ”
During the interaction, Marshal Munnir also discussed the rally. He said: “This war by proxy sponsored by India is no longer hidden – it is an act of open and malicious terrorism carried out against our people, our progress and our peace.”
He stressed that the Pakistani army has concrete evidence of Indian involvement in the orchestration and support of terrorist networks within Balutchistan, according to the declaration.
“The Pakistani army, with the unwavering support of the Baloch nation and people, will face and crush each enemy, foreign or domestic, who dares to challenge our sovereignty,” the Coas said, according to the press release. He reiterated that peace in Balutchistan is “non -negotiable” and that the future of Pakistan is intrinsically linked to the stability and prosperity of the province.
The PM office also indicated that the two leaders had welcomed the bravery and resilience of security personnel and law enforcement organizations operating in Balutchistan. Prime Minister Sharif assured the families of martyrs to the state support of the state and promised that the officials of terrorism – including their facilitators and compensation – would be brought to justice.
The JIRGA concluded with a unanimous commitment from the former tribal to stand in the shoulder with the government and the armed forces, reaffirming their commitment to peace, security and development in Balutchistan, added the press release.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Shehbaz visited the command and Quetta staff, where he addressed students and members of the faculty. According to an official statement, the visit stressed the government’s commitment to improve professionalism and strategic preparation of Pakistani defense institutions.
He underlined the need for operational excellence and strategic foresight in the face of the evolution of hybrid threats, in particular in sensitive regions such as Balutchistan, where the proxies sponsored by the Indians are trying to destabilize the country and to hinder national development.
