Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting via New York Video Link to discuss the improvement in trade relations between Pakistan and Malaysia.
He underlined the significant potential for growth in bilateral trade and noted that the government actively took practical measures to take advantage of these opportunities.
He asked the competent authorities to develop a viable and exploitable plan specifically to export Pakistani beef to Malaysia. The Prime Minister’s office (PMO) said that Prime Minister Shehbaz has led the preparation and submission of a complete roadmap by putting particular emphasis to stimulate exports from Pakistani beef to Malaysia.
Reunion included an in -depth examination of commercial links between Pakistan and Malaysia. The Prime Minister received a detailed briefing on Pakistan’s export capacities on the Malaysian market.

The Prime Minister said that “Pakistan and Malaysia enjoy deep and fraternal brotherly relations that extend over several decades. He noted that Malaysia has always supported Pakistan if necessary, and Pakistan has this high -esteem support.”
In October 2024, Pakistan and Malaysia organized bilateral talks, and the two leaders announced that Pakistan would export halal meat worth 200 million dollars per year, as well as 100,000 metric tonnes of basmati rice to Malaysia.
