Discussing the economic situation, the Prime Minister cited his recent conversations with the World Bank officials and the Director General of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), who congratulated the macroeconomic stability of Pakistan and the positive indicators drawn by the reforms directed by the government.

Shehbaz Sharif also referred to a recent Gallup survey, declaring that 55% of the business world had expressed its confidence in improving the country’s commercial environment.

Reducing the Ministry of Commerce and the related divisions to improve bilateral trade with Türkiye, Prime Minister Shehbaz set an objective of $ 5 billion, after the visit of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Pakistan.

“The Turkish president has always supported Pakistan,” said Prime Minister Shehbaz, adding that Erdoğan has always pleaded for the freedom of cashmere and Palestine.

With the improvement of Pakistan’s economic prospects, Shehbaz Sharif underlined the need for stronger reforms and stronger international commercial partnerships.
