PM Shehbaz sees the Pakistani-American bilateral links entering a renewed friendship

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that the bilateral ties between the United States-Pakistan entered a renewed friendship and that close contact returned.

The Prime Minister also mentioned that the Pak-Us had enjoyed historical ties, for a long time and wide extending over centuries. The United States had supported Pakistan with the construction of dams and other development projects.

Addressing a ceremony held at the Embassy of the United States as part of the celebration of the 249th anniversary of American independence, he declared that the Pakistani nation had joined the American people to pay tribute to the American founding fathers, whose provident and wisdom had changed the course of history.

The event was followed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar, ministers, parliamentarians and members of the diplomatic corps.

The Prime Minister added that their democratic struggle, their rule of constitution and their equality also resonating with the ideals of Quaid-Ezam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founding father of Pakistan.

He said that at the Kakul Academy event, he had offered a credible and transparent international investigation into the Pahlagam incident so that the world can see and scrutinize reality and fiction.

He said the recent armed conflict between Pakistan and India that lasted four days, established the fact that “Pahalgam’s incident was a false flag operation”.

If it had been different from what it said, India should have come out with solid evidence and convince the world of the occurrence of the incident, he said.

“Our sincere offer was replied with aggression, but Pakistan has shown a lot of tolerance and a lot of patience,” he said, adding May 6 to 7, 33 Pakistanis were martyred in Indian assault, including children and the old and scores of other injured.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan in his right to self -defense had shot down six Indian planes. At that time, we, friends who were in contact with them, revealed that Pakistan had responded and that it was enough, and that peace and ceasefire were to be restored.

He reiterated that Pakistan was still attached to peace and de -escalation, but India had attacked them despite the fact that he had offered a very authentic offer for de -escalation.

Approaching the role of American president Trump to ensure the ceasefire, the Prime Minister said that he had shown beyond doubt that he “is a man for peace, he is a man to promote peace and beneficial affairs”.

“President Trump is a man against climbing and a man against the cold and warm war,” he said, adding that Trump believed in humanity to live in tranquility and contribute to progress and prosperity not particularly in a region but on a global scale, as he is manifested in his statements in recent weeks.

The American president had advised Pakistan and India to go for trade, invest and give up war and defuse, he added.

The Prime Minister appreciated Trump’s contribution to cause a cease-fire in this region.

He also welcomed the role of the friendly and fraternal countries of the Middle East which proactively coordinated and supported Trump’s real efforts and expressed hope that it would be a long-term cease-fire.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also extended sincere congratulations to the American president Trump and the United States, on behalf of the Pakistani nation, to celebrate their independence day.

The Prime Minister also declared that Pakistan had revived and strengthened its economy and has always spoken of peace, progress and prosperity, not only in the region, but in the whole world.

He expressed hope that the Bilateral Pak-US trade would increase in volumes in the fields of computer science, agriculture, education, health, etc., the two countries discussed the issue of prices.

He said he was really inspired by Trump’s vision for trade, investment and growth.
