Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited Quetta to meet injured soldiers during the recent terrorist attack in the city.
During his day visit, he paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the security forces and underlined the need for unity in the face of growing challenges of terrorism in the region.
The Prime Minister, who was accompanied by senior officials, visited the combined military hospital (CMH) in Quetta where the wounded soldiers were treated.
He praised the courage and dedication of soldiers, describing them as “the heroes of the nation” and expressed the pride of their sacrifice for the protection of Pakistan.
During his speech during a meeting after visiting the hospital, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said: “Our brave soldiers give their blood to rectify the big mistakes of the past. They fight to eliminate terrorism, and C ‘ is through their sacrifices that Pakistan will be victorious. “
He also expressed his admiration for the determination of the injured soldiers, who remained positive despite their injuries. “Even if a part of their body is affected, they consider it a sacrifice for the greatest good of the nation. They told me that if we have to put our lives for the cause of our country, it is not A good price to pay. “
Prime Minister Sharif also stressed that the fight against terrorism is a collective effort, claiming: “With the management of the armed forces of Pakistan, officers, soldiers and political leaders, we will ensure that Pakistan becomes a peaceful paradise. “
Referring to the recent terrorist attack in the Kalat region of Quetta, where 18 soldiers were martyred, the Prime Minister assured to the public that the law enforcement organizations worked tirelessly to ensure peace in the region. He also recognized the sacrifices made by the fallen soldiers and reaffirmed his commitment to protect the citizens of Balutchistan and the whole country.
“Today is not the moment of division or politics. We must unite in our efforts to fight against terrorism. It is only through unity that we can overcome the forces of ‘Extremism, “he said.
The Prime Minister also welcomed the families of soldiers for raising such courageous young men, describing them as the pride of the nation. “We greet them, and with their sacrifices, Pakistan will emerge victorious and stronger than ever,” he concluded.
Earlier, the Prime Minister was welcomed by Governor Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandokhel and chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti. They jointly held a meeting with other key personalities, notably the Minister of Defense, the Minister of Information, the Minister of Energy, the Chief Secretary and the Police IG.
Reunion has also focused on the security situation and efforts to strengthen peace and development of Balutchistan.
