The moon of Shawwal 1446 Ah should be seen on the evening of March 30, 2025, marking the start of Eidul Fitr, according to the Pakistani meteorological department (PMD).

Astronomical calculations show that the new moon will be born at 3:58 pm PST on March 29, 2025, and there is a “good luck” to observe the croissant the following evening, reported the PMD.

However, weather conditions in various regions should be partially cloudy, which can affect visibility in certain regions.

Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) also predicted that Eidul Fit will likely fall on March 31, 2025.

The Central Committee of Rue-E-Hilal, as well as the Zonal and District Committees, will meet on March 30 to officially confirm the observation of the Moon, which will determine the date of the Eid celebrations on a national scale.

In anticipation of the holidays, the government declared a three -day public holiday from March 31 to April 2, 2025, for Eidul FITR, according to a notification of the cabinet secretariat.
