Islamabad:
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported that the June-August monsoon had brought normal precipitation to most regions in most regions of the country, with nearly 10 major rain systems leading to serious floods in the northern and east regions.
However, the coming season should bring a contrasting model.
According to PMD, precipitation lower than normal are probably in the Gilgit-Baltistan, cashmere and northern Punjab, while almost normal precipitation is planned for the Sindh, southern Baloutchan and southern Punjab, the conditions that should maintain the overall situation stable.
