On Wednesday, a delegation from the Muslim League in Pakistan called Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday and expressed full support for all the initiatives taken by him for the country’s economic development and public well-being.
The delegation including members of the National Assembly Chaudhry Hussain Elahi, Muhammad Ilyas Chaudhry and Ms. Farukh Khan and led by the Overseas Minister of Pakistani Chaudhry Salik Hussain called the Prime Minister, said PM Office Wing in a press release.
The MNA welcomed the Prime Minister and her team for presenting the federal budget for the year 2025-2026 in the National Assembly.
The delegation said that military and political leaders operated tirelessly for the national development and the well-being of the people.
They also welcomed the Prime Minister’s exemplary leadership during the recent tensions with India and its efforts to raise the country’s prestige at the World Stadium. The questions related to the respective constituencies were also discussed at the meeting.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his satisfaction on Wednesday as to the increase in funding in May 2025, 13.7% more than the previous year.
In a statement here, the Prime Minister said that the country had received some $ 34.9 billion in discounts during the current financial year, which was 28.8% higher than outgoing financial year.
“3.7 billion US dollars were received in funds in May 2025, or 13.7% more than May of last year. The increase in funding is proof of the growing confidence of Pakistani abroad in government economic policies,” said Prime Minister Shehbaz.
He added that the government’s economic measures and the budget adapted to people for the next exercise have been a brilliant future sign for the country.

The Prime Minister welcomes the sharp increase in the stock market to 124,000 points, said that the upward trend reflected the confidence of investors and businessmen in the pro-pupple budget presented by the government on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister, in a statement, said that in the federal budget 2025-26, the government has not granted any additional tax burden on ordinary humans and that the increase in wages and tax reductions would grant the salaried class.
“Travel to national economic progress began. The inhabitants of Pakistan have made immense sacrifices. Now we all have to work together to improve the life of the ordinary man,” he noted. He also appreciated the government’s economic team, the efforts of which led to the reduction in inflation and the increase in exchange reserves.
“The return of Pakistan from the default value, the start of economic stability and the journey to Progress is a miracle. This historical economic turnaround, carried out thanks to the hard work of the economic team and by prioritizing the interests of Pakistan, will be engraved in history forever,” he commented.
