- The new polar fitness tracker targets users who want a slightly smaller imprint
- The Grit X2 is intended to offer many features of the Grit X2 Pro at a lower price
- It is filled with sensors, as well as offline card features
It would just be to say that many of the best fitness trackers at the moment are so complete that it is difficult for anyone who only allows new terrains.
This means that most of the devices that launched in 2025 are scalable, rather than revolutionary, falling into one of the two categories. They add small adjustments to the previous models, creating more premium versions, or they work to reduce the price as much as possible by decreasing to democratize technology.
Polar, a well -known company in progressive improvements, has managed to reduce the two routes with its new Polar X2 grain. The latest robust smartwatch aims to be more “affordable, sustainable and compact” than the Polar Grit X2 Pro, and is launching today, June 4 for £ 399 (around $ 540 / $ 835 in), in the United Kingdom and the EU, with the United States and other regions to add.
A first strong impression
The X2 polar grain offers an Amoled panel of 1.28 inch, smaller than the 1.39 inch pro grain pro, with the same sapphire crystal glass and a stainless steel telescope for sustainability. This watch will be ideal for polar fans with smaller wrists, looking for a thinner and lighter adventure companion.
It meets the 810h military quality standards, which means that it should resist “extreme temperatures, high altitudes, shock and immersion” according to Polar.
Polar has long pushed its navigation features, and that does not change here. The grain X2 wins the topographic cards in color of the X2 pro and offline grain of the Grit X2 Pro to help go from A to B, or find your way if you go down from the way.
This is particularly good because it slips into the same price as Garmin Instinct 3 of this year, an excellent adventure watch which unfortunately lacks color cards in color. Polar managed to undermine Garmin here.
Polar Elixir health monitoring technology
Polar Elixir, the “ most advanced biosseating platform of the company to date ” includes an optical fourth generation cardiac frequency sensor, ECG, blood oxygen monitoring and skin temperature updates, and the company claims that it will obtain new features in Lockstep with the Griting X2 Pro.
“Outdoor sports thrive like never before – and it is women who direct this growth,” Sander Werring, CEO of Polar Electro said via the press release.
“However, the market is still lacking in well -designed outdoor watches that are really aimed at those looking for more compact adjustment. Too often, conceptions are bulky or lacks essential characteristics.”
“With the launch of Grit X2, we approach this long -standing gap, offering premium functionality in a rationalized design, designed to move with a new generation of adventurers.”
