Police go to Muzaffarabad to Sidra Arab Killing Probe

Rawalpindi police went to Muzaffarabad as part of an ongoing investigation into the alleged honor murder of Sidra Arab, 21, in the Pirwadhai region.

The team, led by sub-inspector Shoaib Ahmed, aims to check the victim’s second marriage of the victim with a man named USMAN and to obtain related documents. Usman and his family will be officially included in the survey and their statements will be registered, police sources said.

Sidra was murdered in what the police suspect a murder led by the family linked to their marital choices.

Seven suspects – Ismatullah, Ziaur Rehman, Arab Gul, Amani Gul, Zafarullah, Saleh Muhammad and the rush driver Khayal Muhammad – are in police custody in pre -trial detention.

Two others, Graveli Rashid Mehmood and the secretary of the Saifur Rehman cemetery committee, are in police custody in Adiala prison.

Police also seized video surveillance images from the Ismatullah residence, but said that the DVR system of the device has proven to be difficult. Technical experts have been brought to help.

The authorities declared that they particularly examined the activity captured between July 11 and 17 and the days that followed.
