Karachi: The anti -violent crime cell (stroke) of Karachi police arrested Kamran Asghar Qureshi, father of Armaghan Qureshi – the first suspect in the famous case of Mustafa Amir on Thursday.
According to the main Superintendent of the Police (SSP) of anti-violent crime cells (stroke), the arrest came during a police raid at the Armaghan residence located in the Khayaban-E-Momin district of Defense Housing Authority (DHA).
Revealing that the ice (drug) and a 9 mm pistol were recovered from the suspect, the SSP said that a case had been recorded and that a more in -depth investigation was underway.
The arrest of Kamran follows the fifth extension by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) of the physical dismissal of the first suspect in the case of kidnapping, murder and drug trafficking in Mustafa.
The investigating officer (IO) had previously revealed that Armaghan admitted that he had confided to his father the whole incident after the murder of Mustafa, adding that his father then advised him to leave Karachi and hide, assuring him that they would also move the house of the software to another place.
The high -level affair also includes the involvement of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and other institutions that have investigated various aspects.
The government’s lawyer, while chatting in front of the ATC, said that Armaghan would have been responsible for the supply of hundreds of young people and also submitted several girls and boys to torture.
The whole saga took place after Armaghan opened fire in a team from the AVCC – a specialized Karachi police unit responsible for fighting cases related to murder and extortion – during a raid at his residence in Karachi DHA on February 8.
The body of the deceased – found by the police in a car near the Hub Checkpost on January 12 and buried by the EDHI Foundation on January 16 – was exhumed and buried later by his family following the identity confirmation in the initial DNA report.
Meanwhile, the police have already given the laptops recovered from the Armaghan residence to the FIA with its mobile phones for a necessary analysis.
In addition, the folding rod in American iron in black and Silver, which allegedly used by Armaghan to beat Mustafa, was also recovered in the hub area, confirmed an officer to The news.
The police consider this resumption as a major breakthrough which would considerably strengthen the case against Armaghan and would help ensure its conviction. The officer revealed that Armaghan is no longer as provocative as before
