Political dialogue A collective duty: Elahi

The former chief minister of Punjab, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, underlined Thursday that the responsibility to trigger political dialogue is not only based with politicians but with all the institutions of the State, each urging their role due in the national interest.

Addressing the media after visiting the residence of the PTI Hammad Azhar chief to offer condolences on the death of his father, the former governor of Punjab, Mian Muhammad Azhar, Elahi paid tribute to the deceased chief, calling him “great politician” known for his honesty and integrity.

“We have shared a friendship that lasted more than 30 years. Mian Azhar is no longer with us, but his services in the country and the nation will always remain memories,” said Elahi.

In response to a question, the central president of the PTI reiterated that political dialogue is not only the duty of political parties.
