The board of directors of intermediate and secondary education (Bise) Lahore has postponed the intermediate and registration exams today due to the climbing of tensions between Pakistan and India.

Affected examinations include Islamiyat (elective) and the principles of accounting theory exams for Inter Part II, as well as practical IT examination for matrix students.

A kiss spokesman confirmed the postponement, citing security problems after military strikes between the two countries. The spokesman assured that a new calendar for exams would be announced in due course.

The decision comes in the midst of increased military activity along the control line, following an Indian strike on several locations in Pakistan.

In retaliation, the Pakistani army has shot down five Indian fighter planes and a combat drone in response to an uninsured assault and airspace violations.

The authorities urged students and the public to stay up to date while the situation continues to develop.

Earlier, the British Council Pakistan announced that all the exams planned for today would continue as planned, despite increased military tensions between Pakistan and India.

In an official declaration published on its Facebook page, the organization said: “All the exams planned for today will take place as planned. We will keep you posted if there are changes.”

Students were invited to contact their respective schools or the customer service center in the case of private candidates, for any questions related to the examination.
