PPP approves the need for dialogue with PTI

Lahore:

The PPP launched its weight behind the calls for dialogue with the PTI, after the overhaul of a letter on social networks allegedly written by the imprisoned leadership of Pti Punjab.

The letter, wrote bars behind bars, defenders launching a national dialogue to bring the country back on the edge of political paralysis.

PPP information secretary Nadeem AFZAL, responding to an article on social networks featuring the letter, said that the letter was authentic, it represented positive development.

He added that the government should engage the PTI in dialogue to strengthen democracy.

AFZAL said there was a need for a visionary approach, similar to that of the former PPP chief, Benazir Bhutto, under which the Charter of Democracy was formulated.

The letter, which would have been written by four imprisoned PTI leaders – former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the former provincial ministers Mehmood -Ur -Rasheed and Yasmin Rashid, and the former governor of Punjab, Umar Sarfraz Cheema – underlined the urgent need for dialogue on all platforms, including with the government and creation.

He also asked that the PTI management be granted to access to the Party of the Party, Imran Khan, so that they can request his continuous advice on all questions.

The Secretary General of the Central PPP of Punjab, Hasan Murtaza, addressing the Express PK Press Club, said that dialogue was the appropriate path to solve long -standing political problems, but stressed that dialogue should only be held with political stakeholders.

He said it was time for the founder of PTI to “start behaving like a party leader, not a military leader”.

Commenting on recent developments in the Punjab assembly, Murtaza said that the PPP had supported the measures taken against members of the PTI Provincial Assembly, arguing that their conduct had justified such measures.
