PPP-backed Saeed Yousaf Khan won the Rawalpindi High Court Bar elections. According to the results, Khan received 1,520 votes to be elected president of the association.
Qasim Mehmood Malik was elected general secretary after securing 887 votes. Shazia Yousaf was elected as Senior Vice President, while Naila Firdous secured the position of Vice President. Fahad Fayyaz was elected joint secretary.
After the results were announced, jubilant lawyers celebrated in the High Court premises, chanting slogans, performing bhangra, distributing sweets and dancing to the beat of drums.
