Vice-Prime Minister Ishaq Dar congratulated the Pakistani peoples (PPP) party on Saturday for its continuous support for the power coalition and reaffirmed that the PPP remains an ally of trust, despite the Muslim League of Pakistan-Nawaz (PML-N) ensuring a simple majority in the National Assembly.
Addressing Data Darbar journalists, Dar said that the current government had been initially trained with critical support from the PPP. “When we started, our figures were incomplete without them. Now that we have a simple majority, there is no difficulty-but we will continue to cooperate with PPP even more than before,” he said.
In response to a question of offering ministries to the Pakistani peoples’ party (PPP), the Deputy Prime Minister said that the PPP had not made any request for this type. “These are our allies and will remain so. We have an excellent working relationship, and they have extended total support to us, “he said. “Those who hold you in difficult times are not abandoned when things improve.”
Dar noted that the two parties had signed an official agreement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif representing the signing of the PML-N and the Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on behalf of the PPP. “This agreement is a sacred document for us, and we are fully attached to its implementation.”

Addressing recent political speculation, the Deputy Prime Minister categorically rejected the reports of a meeting between the leader of the PML-N Nawaz Sharif and the founder of the PTI, Imran Khan.
He described the affirmations as “baseless rumors” and a “sponsored story”, adding that such stories were deliberately floating to create confusion. “These are just someone’s list of wishes. We don’t need to approach anyone,” he said.
The DPM reaffirmed the opening of the government to engage with all political parties, saying that it was ready to work in the alley in the national interest. “When Pakistan was threatened, we engaged not only with the coalition partners, but also the opposition. Discussing economic prospects, Dar said the country had narrowly avoided the defect in April 2022 when the PDM government took office. “If this change had not happened, we could have been lacking. By approaching defense and regional issues, Dar said that Pakistan had responded firmly to Indian hostility in the past. “India started war and we killed six of their fighter planes. We supported our land and beat a much larger enemy,” he said.
While the ceasefire along the control line was held, Dar admitted that tensions could always degenerate. “The rhetoric of the war of India seems to be motivated by internal constraints. We remain alert – we have already managed such situations and we will continue to do so. ”
Regarding domestic governance, DAR said that corruption should be addressed in all provinces, including Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, through a legal process. “Responsibility should be uniform,” he added.
