PPP supports Habib Jalib’s daughter for NA-129

Lahore:

The local chapter of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) threw his total support behind the daughter of the famous poet Habib Jalib, Tahira Habib Jalib, for the partial election of NA-129.

Despite the presence of Atif Mahmood Nagra, considered a strong competitor for the party ticket, the local chapter leans towards the new entrant Tahira Habib Jalib, who was brought into the race by his sympathizers within the party.

Until a few years ago, Tahira won her by directing an entirely female driving school in the city of Mustafa. According to the party, she has now moved into taxi driving.

Party leaders believe that the granting of the ticket Revigorate the former PPP workers, who would see movement as a return to the ideological roots of the party.

Although they recognize that the defeat in Na-129 seems to be “writing on the wall” for the PPP, they argue that with Ms. Jalib, the party would at least win the rights to boast of giving tickets to people of humble.

A message given to the media by the party said that politicians and journalists were invited to support the appointment of Tahira Habib Jalib by a press conference which is itself held by the taxi driver.

“Tahira Habib Jalib, daughter of the famous revolutionary poet Habib Jalib, represents the disadvantaged class of Pakistan and asked for a PPP ticket for the partial election of NA-129 Lahore,” the statement said.

The press conference, held in Lahore on Monday (today), will be assisted by Tahira Habib Jalib with the PPP chief, Faisal Mir.

During the event, Tahira and Faisal Mir will specifically appeal to thirty politicians, intellectuals and journalists – by name – to approve his appointment and support his representation of ordinary people.

Faisal Mir will launch the electoral campaign with the slogan: “Support the Taxi Taxi Tahira Habib Jalib driver or support the ruling class politician”.

Faisal Mir, who returned to Pakistan in America on Sunday, could not be joined for comments.
