PPP today observes the 46th anniversary of Zab’s death

The PPP will observe the 46th anniversary of the death of the founder of the party, the late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB), with a public gathering in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on Friday (today), which will be addressed by President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

PPP Sindh Secretary General and Special Assistant of the Chief Minister Waqar Mehdi told L’Express PK Press Club Thursday that President Asif Ali Zardari would not speak to the public gathering due to poor health.

Mehdi said the birthday preparations had been finalized because caravans of people from all over the country had started to arrive at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh. Strict safety arrangements had also been taken for the birthday.

A series of birthday events will start in the morning with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Fateha. This will be followed by Naat Khawani and a Mushaira. The public rally will start at 5 p.m., starting with speeches from various party leaders and concluding with the speech of Bilawal.

On the occasion of the birthday, Bilawal and Zardari paid tributes rich at the end of the party founder and undertook to continue his mission to make Pakistan a developed country, independent and adapted to people.

In their separate messages, they declared that Shaheed Bhutto has revolutionized the economy, agriculture and the country’s industrial sector, empowering the working class. They added that Zab had offered Pakistan a progressive and unanimous constitution and strengthened the country’s defense with nuclear technology.
