Bhakkar:
The central chief of Pakistan Party’s Party’s Party (PPP), Samrah Batool, was shot in a triple murder in the city of Mandi.
District police officer (DPO) Shehzad Rafiq Awan said the triple murder had taken place in the region of the city of Mandi near Mill Gate.
Samrah Batool would have lived independently at the time of the attack.
Two men were also killed in the incident, including a man named Irfan Bhatti. The third victim has not yet been officially identified.
The initial surveys suggest that murders are the result of targeted assault, but the exact reasons remain unknown.
The medical and criminal investigation teams have reached the place, while video surveillance images of neighboring stores are collected to reconstruct the event sequence.
Samrah Batool’s son Yasir Abbas and his cousin Zain told the police that Airfan Bhatti came to visit Batool at his residence. They left the house briefly to remove money from a nearby outlet.
When they returned, they found the lifeless bodies of Samrah Batool and the two men.
Based on the evidence of video surveillance and preliminary forensic analysis, the police think that a man identified as Sanaullah opened fire on Samrah Batool and Irfan Bhatti before turning the weapon on himself in what seems to be a double suicide murder.
Medical-legal experts noted a ball injury on the right side of the head of Sanaullah, with burning marks around the injury in accordance with a self-inflicted shot at close range.
The three bodies were transferred to the district headquarters hospital for a post mortem exam. Legal procedures have been initiated and the police said they are pursuing all possible angles to verify the facts.
Bhakkar DPO said that the culprits, if necessary, will be apprehended within 24 hours and brought to justice.
In a separate incident in the region of Jhok Lal Shah in Panjgiran, a man stabbed and killed his older brother for a minor verbal dispute.
Police said the suspect, the younger brother, used a knife to fatally injure Naeer Abbas during a stormy argument. Residents described the victim as a harmless person who has become the prey of a moment of domestic rage.
The accused fled the scene and the efforts to stop him are underway.
Another act of violence occurred in Jhok Mitho Shah Notak, where a dispute with friends during the opening ceremony of a local store has become fatal. According to eyewitnesses, the argument began on the distribution of rice.
Temperatures were sailing and one of the individuals released a weapon and fatally killed his friend in front of the rally. Police completed the area and launched a man’s hunt for the suspect.
A death occurred in Kotla Jam, where a young man lost his life in an apparent accident. The victim, who was bathed in a pavilion, suffered an injury to the critical head and drowned.
