LAHORE:
The Faisalabad-Khanewal railway section, which had been closed due to recent floods, has been partially restored with freight services now allowed to operate on a limited basis.
According to railway officials, the Darkhana-Abdul Hakim section has been reopened exclusively for goods trains. Initially, a locomotive (AGE-30) will conduct three to four tests at the site to assess track safety and operational readiness.
Officials said if the tests are successful, freight trains will be allowed to pass through this section at night.
