- Lenovo Research predicts that budgets will soon be composed by 20% of AI
- Investments in Tech AI will increase 104% in 2025
- Hybrid, on -site and AI PCs are “key”, report complaints
New research by Lenovo has revealed that IA expenses could represent up to a fifth (20%) of computer budgets this year, against 13% in 2024.
The company’s search says that IMS computer decision -makers have declared higher satisfaction rates with their AI projects in the past 12 months, which has led them to expect an increase in their investments this year up to 104%.
Almost all the projects (94%) of AI met at least to expectations in the region, with almost one in three (31%) which exceeds them, which placed Emea in advance on North America, where Only 16% of projects exceeded expectations.
Companies are starting to see AI awards
So far, optimism has not always encountered the same tangible level of success, but companies are now able to see the results prove that AI was not only a fashion after all.
“The EMEA markets present a diversified landscape of the adoption of the AI and it is clear that most organizations have exceeded the IA beating phase and have concentrated from experimentation to full implementation “said Lenovo’s president of Lenovo for the Infrastructure Solutions Group, Giovanni Di Filo.
For the future, companies expect to increase their IA generating orientation by 12% to 44% in the next 12 months – a striking increase. A key area for the increase in expenses includes the development and management of AI models (32%, against 22% last year), proving that companies and many other companies seek to regain control in the way of which they use AI at work.
However, repeatedly, we are faced with the same challenges, and it is clear that companies have not yet overcome them.
Lenovo stressed how much the poorly prepared data sets an obstacle to the implementation of AI, 29% recognizing that they have data quality problems. Others declare that the application of their governance, risk and compliance policies (RCMP) of AI governance is limited (26%), with an alarming 22% of the companies questioned not presenting any plan to establish RCAs policies.
To respond at least some of the concerns, Lenovo believes that “hybrid infrastructure is the key.” Two -thirds (65%) of EMEA organizations already use on site or hybrid as main architecture, 18% preferring public cloud.
The PCs should also play a role in the location of AI capabilities, 65% providing to use the devices soon. In addition, the main analyst of Canalys Ishan Dutt predicts that PCs could represent 35% of the PC sector in 2025; The previous predictions for the last quarter of 2024 had this at 20%, indicating significant growth of the coming year.
