Presence of arrest jurisdictions for kp cm Ali Amin Gandapur

A local court in Islamabad published Mandates on Monday against Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur, in a case involving the recovery of alcohol and illegal weapons.

The mandates were issued by the judicial magistrate Mubashhir Hassan Chishti after Gandapur did not appear before the court. The court rejected its plea for exemption from personal appearance and ordered the authorities to arrest and produce it at the next hearing.

The court postponed the hearing until July 22.

Earlier on Saturday, the magistrate issued non -reducing arrest warrants for Gandapur and ordered the station officer (SHO) concerned to ensure his production.

During the procedure on Friday, the magistrate noted that the case remained unanswered for almost eight years. Although the accusation completed declarations of witnesses in registration in May 2024, Gandapur has not yet submitted his own declaration under article 342 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The case dates back to October 2016, when Islamabad police said they had recovered five Kalashnikov assault rifles, a pistol, six magazines, a bulletproof vest, a bottle of alcohol and three lacrymogenic gas shells from a vehicle belonging to the PTI chef parked outside Bani Gala.

Gandapur has always denied allegations, declaring that he was traveling with two approved Kalashnikov rifles and that a valid weapon license was present in the vehicle. As for the alleged alcohol recovery, he said that the bottle in question actually contained honey, not alcohol.
