President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute Tuesday to the armed forces and civilians in Pakistan martyred during the recent Indian attacks, promising that the nation was being united and prepared to defend its sovereignty at all costs.

In his statement, President Zardari condemned “the blatant aggression of India” and said that violence had only strengthened the determination of the Pakistani people.

“We are proud of the sacrifices of our martyrs. Our courageous forces have succeeded in defending the nation and the integrity of the country,” said Zardari, referring to the Bunyan-Un-Marso Operation, which, according to him, broke “the arrogance of the enemy”. “”

He expressed condolences to the families of these martyr, including women and children, and prayed for the rapid recovery of the wounded.

“The people and the armed forces of Pakistan are always ready to thwart any assault and give an overwhelming response to each attack on our national security,” added Zardari.

In a separate declaration, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the Pakistan armed forces had “held their promise” to the nation by protecting the fatherland and facing the Indian military actions.

“We not only defended the country, but we made sure that the sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan remained unscathed,” he said. “Operation Bunyan-Un-Marsoos clearly indicated in India that it should respect the sovereignty of other nations.”

Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the five staff of the Pakistani Air Force and six officers of the Pakistani army who were martyred. He also expressed sorrow concerning the loss of 40 innocent civilians, including 15 children and seven women, during Indian strikes.

“We have not forgotten the martyrs of the nation, and we will not do so, and their families will never be left alone,” said the Prime Minister.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting the families of the martyrs and confirmed that a martyrs defeated by the state had been announced.

“We are a peaceful nation, but we know how to react to any assault,” said Shehbaz Sharif, calling Bunyan-Un-Marsoos A clear demonstration of the preparation and resolution of Pakistan.

40 civilians, 11 troops martyred in Indian assault: ISPR

At least 51 people, including 40 civilians and 11 soldiers, were martyred during the cross -border attacks of India against Azad Jammu and the cashmere and the Pakistani territory, said the Pakistani army, calling the attacks “not provoked and reprehensible”.

The victims took place during a military climbing in the night of May 6 and 7, during which the Indian forces deliberately targeted residential areas, including women, children and the elderly, inter-service public relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.

The ISPR said 11 staff of the Pakistan Armed Forces staff had also been killed in combat during the defense of the region. Others-eight-eight were injured.
