President, PM reaffirms the support of the Martyrs of Kashmir Day

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated the political, diplomatic and moral support from Pakistan to the Kashmir people on Sunday.

In their separate messages on the occasion of the observation of the Martyrs of Kashmir, they declared that the day recalled inherited resilience, resistance against the brutal forces and the unshakable determination of the Kashmiris for their freedom.

President Zardari praised the unshakable courage, determination and sacrifices of the cashmere people, who resisted the Indian occupation for decades and continue their struggle for self -determination.

“I pay tribute to the 22 major martyrs of cashmere who sacrificed their lives against oppression and barbarism and for the right to freedom, outside the Srinagar prison on July 13, 1931.”

“The great struggle that the cashmere people advance today is a continuation of the sacrifices of these 22 martyrs. The candle of freedom that their sacrifice has lit in the heart of the Kashmir nation burns still today,” he added.

The president concluded his message by saying that the “illegal occupation” of cashmere India had transformed the region into a military prison, where “extrajudicial murders, imposed disappearances, political sentence, demographic changes and systematic efforts to erase Muslim identity” were underway.

Prime Minister Shehbaz, in his message, said that Cachemiris had been and continue to sacrifice their lives in pursuing their legitimate struggle for the right to self -determination.

“Today, the Government of Pakistan reaffirms its commitment to the resolution of the cashmere question and the right of self-determination of Jammu-et-Cachemire in accordance with the United Nations resolutions.”

Meanwhile, the Kashmiris on both sides of the control line, as well as those who live in Pakistan and around the world, observe the day of the Martyrs of Kashmir to pay tribute to the martyrs of July 13, 1931, and all the Kashmiris who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for freedom.

Respect for the day has been called by the All -Garçon Hurriyat conference and is supported by all leaders and organizations in matters of freedom of freedom.

To honor martyrs, gatherings, seminars and conferences take place in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Pakistan, and in the main capital of the world.

In Muzaffarabad, the cashmere liberation unit, in collaboration with the AJK chapter of the All -Gents Hurriyat conference, organized a public rally followed by a rally.

Pasban-E-Hurriyat also organized a protest rally in Burhan Wani Shaheed Chowk.

In addition, an intelligently shot police contingent will present a greeting of ceremony at the Shuhada monument to pay tribute to the martyrs.
