President Asif Ali Zardari reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eradicate terrorism and sustainable peace and sustainable development in Balutchistan on Wednesday.
Chairing a high -level meeting on the province’s security situation, President Zardari stressed the threat posed by terrorist elements aimed at destabilizing the region. “The situation is clear-the state will continue to exist and we have to win the war against terrorism,” he said.
The meeting was followed by the president of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the acting governor of the Balutchistan captain (RETD) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai, the chief secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, the general inspector of the police Moazzam Jah Ansari and other senior officials.
The chief minister of Balutchistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, provided a detailed briefing on the situation in the province of the province. In response, President Zardari highlighted the need to modernize the security forces, committing to the government to equip the anti-terrorism wing with advanced weapons.
Stressing the importance of Balutchistan, the president reiterated the accent put by the government on sustainable development and education. “Balutchistan is close to our hearts. We want sustainable development and peace in the province,” he said.
He also stressed the importance of education, declaring that each child in Balutchistan should be registered in school. “It is crucial to equip our children with modern technology to secure their future,” he added.
