Pakistan president Asif Ali Zardari has expressed his strong conviction that China’s growth is beneficial for the region and should not be feared.
Speaking in an interview with Chinese state-owners, Zardari stressed that China has never acted as an imperial power, rather choosing a policy of non-intervention in the affairs of other countries, reported Express News .
Zardari has reiterated the strong longtime friendship between Pakistan and China, noting that the relationship between the two countries is not only for good times but a “timeless” link.
“We, as neighbors, will continue to stand together,” said Zardari, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to benefit from China’s growth, especially in fields such as agriculture and infrastructure.
He congratulated the leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping, noting that, under his direction, China has made significant progress in various sectors, including space and agriculture.
“The development of China is a welcome show for the world, and it benefits the region,” said Zardari. He also mentioned that the technological progress of China, especially in fields such as irrigation and environmental management, could help the growth of Pakistan.
Zardari underlined the potential of China to help the agricultural sector of Pakistan, noting that the yields of Pakistan by Acre are currently lower than those of China.
“We are working on special industrial parks for Chinese investments, and we hope to benefit from China’s expertise in various sectors,” he added.
President Zardari also praised the Chinese space program, saying that Pakistan collaborates with China to improve its capacity in the space sector.
“We focus on the stability of Pakistan, and our relationship with China remains our priority,” he said.
The five -day visit of President Asif Ali Zardari in China reaffirmed last week the sustainable force of the “Ironclad” relationship of Islamabad and Beijing with detractors. He said it best at the start of talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, “Pakistan and China will always be friends, friends of all time”.
