ISLAMABAD:
Prices of deregulated petroleum products, including kerosene, light diesel (LDO) and high octane blending components (HOBC), have also increased following the recent hike in gasoline and fast diesel (HSD) prices and rising international oil prices.
Although the government claims that kerosene, LDO and HOBC are deregulated products whose prices are not directly set by the state, changes to the oil exploitation tax have contributed to the increase in their rates.
The price of kerosene has been increased by Rs 130.08 per liter to Rs 318.81 per litre. Similarly, LDO has become more expensive by Rs67.82 per litre, with its new price set at Rs235.01 per litre.
A petroleum tax of Rs 20.36 per liter has been imposed on kerosene, while a tax of Rs 15.84 per liter is imposed on LDO.
Additionally, the price of HOBC has been increased to Rs338 per litre.
