Prince Albert of Monaco has just shown his photos from a trip to Egypt, on the occasion of the official inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
The photos were shared in an official Instagram post that offers even more insight into the day’s events.
The photo collections included portraits of all the dignitaries, clips from the museum itself, as well as images from the red carpet.
What is pertinent to mention is that the prince attended the event after receiving an invitation from the Egyptian president and his wife, alongside eighty other kings, heads of state and government as well as some international leaders.
During his stay there, Prince Albert would have “welcomed a major step in the preservation of Egyptian history and in the transmission to future generations of unique testimonies of ancient civilization. He underlined how the discovery of this museum and its remarkable collections will contribute to highlighting an invaluable cultural heritage”, according to the caption of the message.
It is also relevant to mention that “after the speeches and artistic performances, the Prince visited the galleries of the museum, admiring, among other things, the treasure of Tutankhamun, unearthed in 1922 in a tomb that remained intact in the Valley of the Kings”.
