Prince Andrew’s current crisis threatens the royal reconciliation between King Charles and his estranged son Prince Harry, a royal expert has claimed.
Prince Andrew, his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson and the royal family as a whole are struggling to deal with backlash following the publication of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir.
Royal expert Jennie Bond told the Mirror, “I think the king has enough on his plate at the moment with Andrew’s crisis and his job as ruler that there isn’t much room left in his head to deal with his youngest son.”
However, the royal expert said: “I hope it’s still quietly bubbling away behind the scenes, and that’s exactly where it needs to stay if there’s to be any hope of them seeing each other again.”
Jennie went on to say: “Perhaps, as he prayed at the Vatican with the Pope, his two sons – who he once begged to “not make my last years a misery” – could have been in his thoughts and prayers.
Jennie made new claims days after Prince Andrew shared a shocking declaration that he would give up royal titles.
The palace released Prince Andrew’s statement which said: “With Her Majesty’s agreement, we consider that I must now go further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honors bestowed upon me.”
