Prince George faces a year of “disturbing” transition as we approach adolescence

Prince George’s 12th anniversary marks the emotional turning point

Prince George faces “many challenges” at the age of 12 today, claimed an expert, adding that the birthday marks a great moment in the life of the son of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

While the little prince, who is second online with the British throne, is about to enter his adolescence, the expert said that this age was a turning point for George.

Speak with L’Express, Royal author Duncan Larcombe explained that when children start to grow quickly, they become more independent.

To say that it is a “poignant birthday” for the young Royal, he added: “12 years old is a bit of a crossroads for many children when they grow.”

“One year more and he will be a teenager, and he will go to another school far from his brother and his sister,” he added.

“I think 12 is a fairly poignant birthday 12. Children suddenly age fairly quickly after 12 years – they become small people rather than being a small child.”

Sharing similar thoughts, the Royal Expert Jennie Bond said that being a “tweenager” is accompanied by “a lot of challenges”, adding: “It will seem to George that his world becomes bigger at all levels: physical, mental, emotional and social”.

Bond continued: “He must have already had a very emotional and a half year since his grandfather and his mother have received a diagnosis of cancer and now he knows that he is in his last year to be excited in the familiar coverage of life with his parents and his brothers and sisters 24/7 before moving to the big school next September.”

“The decision to know where he will go and then study has already been made, and I am sure that George was very influential.

“Nevertheless, it is a big change that hovers on the horizon, and it is necessarily disturbing.”
