Nearly seven years have passed since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle last set foot in Australia, while they were still working as working royals touring the country and the South Pacific.
Today, the Sussexes are reportedly gearing up for a return trip, and this time the focus is expected to be on business ventures, media appearances and charitable initiatives.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly expected to arrive in Sydney and Melbourne in mid-April, renewing long-standing contacts while revisiting projects related to their professional and philanthropic interests.
One of the highlights could see her return to the podcasting spotlight.
After his Spotify series Archetypes concluded in late 2022, the former actress is expected to appear as a guest on the company’s Besties podcast His best life.
The show was initially launched by Australian media personalities Jackie ‘O’ Henderson and Gemma O’Neill, making Meghan’s appearance a landmark moment for the platform.
The Duchess could also take the stage at a Besties event. Such appearances would put Meghan firmly back in the conversation about media, lifestyle and entrepreneurship.
While Meghan’s schedule is expected to revolve around speaking engagements and media collaborations, Harry’s stay in Australia could have a more personal tone.
The Duke has built strong ties with the country during his previous visits, including a month-long internship with the Australian Defense Force in Darwin in 2015.
Insiders say he plans to reconnect with friends from the armed forces and attend events in support of Australian veterans.
