Prince Harry had destroyed his relationship with Queen Elizabeth II in an advance in her marriage.
The Duke of Sussex, who made the knot with Meghan Markle in 2018, upset His Majesty after asking the Archbishop of Canterbury to perform the ceremony and not the dean of Windsor.
Author Sally Bedell Smith writes on the substitution of this cousin from the Queen, Lady Anson told her several months before marriage: “She [the Queen] said she was really upset. I was shocked when the queen told me that, how she was so saddened. I had no idea of the conversation that he was rude for her for ten minutes.
“They took tea with her the day before. She was trying to discover the wedding dress, and Meghan wouldn’t say to her,” she noted.
Prince Harry left the royal family in 2020 alongside the wife Meghan Markle and the son, Prince Archie. The couple then accused the royal family of presenting racism towards their son and publicly shared their grievances on television. Harry and Meghan are now living in California, where they also welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
