Prince Harry spent £ 8,000 once for a rare gift for the baptism of his nephew Prince Louis, a first edition of Winnie the Pooh in 1926.
This special gift was a tribute to her late mother, Princess Diana, who liked to collect the first editions of classical books.
According to L’Express, Harry wanted to continue this tradition by starting a small library for Prince Louis and his brothers and sisters, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
“One of Harry’s happiest childhood memories was to read a story to sleep by his mother,” said a friend of the Duke of Sussex at the time.
They added: “She loved all the old classics and Harry had the brilliant idea of starting a small library of first editions for Louis, Charlotte and George to appreciate as they get older.”
Louis celebrates his seventh anniversary today, because of Rift with his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, we do not know if Harry would try a wish or a birthday present.
