Prince William was just watching over Prince Harry when he asked him to hold his horses, says expert.
The Prince of Wales didn’t want Harry to rush into his marriage to Meghan Markle and focus on building a relationship with her.
Royal expert Robert Jobson told The Sun: “I think William, you know, like any brother, was probably watching him saying: do you think this is happening quickly enough?
“How much do you really know about this girl? Shouldn’t you spend a little more time getting to know her? Which got a bad reaction.
“He was really, really unhappy about it. He couldn’t come to terms with it.
“After that date, the relationship gradually deteriorated. I was told this at Christmas, when Harry and Meghan went to live with William and Kate,” he added.
“Harry had complained to his brother that he wasn’t making enough of a fuss with Meghan, that he wasn’t rolling out the red carpet, that she wasn’t feeling terribly welcome.
“These were things that I and other journalists remembered at the time.
“Once things calmed down a little bit after the wedding, people who had been involved in the wedding, people who knew some of the senior members of the royal family, told me that actually things weren’t going very well at all between Meghan and Harry and William and Kate,” the expert noted.
