Prince William and Kate Middleton marked the big day of Prince Edward, Duke of Kent.
The Prince and Princess of Wales via their official Instagram account shared a personal message.
Sharing a photo of the Duke of Kent with King Charles, the caption read: “Wishing the Duke of Kent a happy 90th birthday!” next to a cake emoji.
Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, first cousin of Charles and one of the best-known members of the royal family.
Before Prince William and Kate Middleton, King Charles and Queen Camilla also celebrated Edward’s birthday.
The royal family’s official Instagram account, on behalf of the King and Queen, paid tribute to the Duke.
The shared statement read: “Wishing the Duke of Kent a very happy birthday – 90 years today!”
“Later this month, the King will host a birthday reception for the Duke, who was the first cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, at Windsor Castle,” he concludes.
