Prince William and Kate Middleton received shocking news about their London home while on vacation.
There were two burglaries at their Kensington Palace apartment last month, but the culprit was eventually apprehended by police.
This is not the first incident, as previously, when Welsh was still living at Adelaide Cottage in October 2024, thieves broke in and stole agricultural vehicles very close to the residence.
William and Kate moved into their new home, Forest Lodge, two months ago, but adequate security measures are in place, although neighbors complain of inconveniences.
Recent events appear to indicate an alarming discovery, a claim that Prince Harry had made repeatedly about his safety in the past, but which was dismissed.
Prince Harry has made several visits to the UK even after being evicted from his Windsor Home Frogmore Cottage, in 2023. King Charles’ youngest son has maintained that while he can take the gamble of security for himself, he cannot return with his family as it is simply too risky.
After his exit from the royal family, his police protection was removed and Harry has been fighting a battle with the British Home Office ever since. During this period, for some of his visits, the monarch even offered to stay at Buckingham Palace. However, Harry had quickly rejected it, arguing that it was not sufficient security.
This had confused many royal experts on the matter, suggesting that Harry was just making excuses to vent his anger and was only fueling the rift between him and the royal family.
But it turns out these claims weren’t completely out of the ordinary, given the recent security breaches that took place at Windsor and Kensington Palace.
Consequently, Harry stayed in hotels for his tours, and at one point he stayed at his mother’s estate in Althorp with his uncle Charles Spencer to attend a funeral service.
It appears the fight is finally coming to an end as sources close to the Sussexes reveal Harry has finally won his case for taxpayer-funded security.
In the latest Mail on Sunday update, it was revealed that Harry’s harassment incident in September led to his protection being reinstated. Although an official announcement has yet to be made, unless there is an “intervention” from the Palace and the decision is reversed.
“Prince Harry inherited a security risk at birth, for the rest of his life,” a spokesperson said in 2022. “He remains sixth in line to the throne, served two combat missions in Afghanistan, and in recent years his family has been subject to well-documented neo-Nazi and extremist threats. Although his role within the institution has changed, his profile as a member of the royal family has not. The threat to him and his family has not more.”
