Prince William has made his feelings clear regarding calls for a criminal investigation into his “disgraced” uncle Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor following the release of new information in the Epstein files.
The Prince of Wales’ close friend revealed he wants Britons and people around the world to respect the monarchy by sticking to the truth.
Notably, William reportedly “defied” his father, King Charles, as he apparently doesn’t want his brother to testify in court.
Royal expert Tom Sykes shared: “William’s friends have told me he would have ‘no hesitation’ in making it known that Andrew would face an ‘investigative’ police investigation if he were king.”
William “sincerely believes that the monarchy cannot remain popular and respected if it does not at least appear to respect the principle that no man is above the law,” the royal commentator said.
On the other hand, King Charles has “no desire” to open a police investigation into Andrew’s case. Instead, the monarch reportedly continued to financially support his brother after his move from Royal Lodge to Wood Lodge.
